The Boon Boys Brats is a high-energy musical act comprised of three hyperactive brothers with ADHD, raised by renowned producer Bas Boon. These young rebels, the very faces of the band, deliver a raw and riotous blend of heavy metal and punk rock, channeling their boundless energy into a sonic assault. The lyrics, driven by the brothers’ unique perspectives, capture their experiences and observations. Not afraid to push boundaries, The Boon Boys Brats also incorporate satirical elements, fearlessly mocking future trends and the music industry’s current state with their unique brand of rebellious humor, all while putting their real selves on full display in their videos. Adding to their unique background, their father, Bas Boon (full profile on Wikipedia), founded Glory World Series and managed legendary fighters like Alistair Overeem and Semmy Schilt, building a combat sports empire that evolved into the 100-million-dollar franchise, Glory Kickboxing. You can also follow the eldest brother, Kato Boon, on their YouTube channel, “Kato Boon goes PigShit, the Boon Family,” for a glimpse into their wild world. They’re loud, they’re chaotic, and they’re ready to shake up the music scene!

YouTube Description: BoonFamily Goes Pigshit, The Boon family leaves their luxurious lifestyle in Pattaya and moves to Isan, Thailand. Everybody who remembers the Tv hit “The Beverly Hillbillies” is a low-income family who got suddenly rich and moved from the farmland to the city of Beverly Hills, California. Boon, I got myself into a Real-time opposite situation with my family. Three months after the pandemic started, the Boon Family left Pattaya City to live on Kato’s farm. The farm was built one year before the pandemic for Kato’s family. Mama Rak and Papa Bas never wanted to leave their luxurious lifestyle in Pattaya till the Thai Government closed the borders because of the #COVID #pandemic. Papa Bas did not hesitate. Together with Mama Rak and Baby Kato Boon, and now Conan and Ken Boon (Boon Brother Brats), they decided to leave their Pattaya mansion to live on a farm in Esan. No more beaches, boat trips, islands, and fancy restaurants. The Boon Boys Become Rockers! Hard Rock Fanatics all have ADHD!

How Did You Get Your Name? Is There A Story?

When I was born, I was given the nickname “Brat.” Growing up, my father was a classical music lover, as was my mother, but my heart beat to a different rhythm. At the age of 12, I bought my first two LPs: Motörhead’s “Ace of Spades” and AC/DC’s “Back in Black.” From that moment on, I became an incredible rebel.

I left home at 15, but later rejoined my parents when they settled in Eindhoven for a short while. It was there that I connected with Onno van Ravenstein, known as “Onno Cromag,” who worked for my team and contributed to Metal Reviews for the magazine Heavy Metal Aardschok. I immersed myself in the world of Heavy Metal and Hard Rock every day, living and breathing music.

My first trip to England was with André Verhuizen, the promoter of the Dynamo Open Air Festival, which he built into an incredible event. The energy of the festival and the music filled my soul with excitement and inspiration.

Seventeen years ago, I moved to Thailand, where I spent a few years in the ISA. During the uncertain times of COVID-19, I learned how to edit videos and embraced AI, leading to the birth of the Boon Boys Brats. I now have three sons who live with me, and I can’t help but think I’ve gotten back what I deserved—three hyperactive, 24/7 ADHD brats. They have loved rock music from the very start, filling our home with relentless energy and laughter.

Our journey is shared on the KatoBoonFamily YouTube channel, where you can follow the brats since birth. With over 101K followers, it’s a rollercoaster of laughter and chaos that showcases the beautiful chaos of our lives together.

And so, the brat had become a proud dad, perpetuating the love for rock music and the spirit of rebellion in the next generation.

What Are or Have Been Your Musical Influences?

ACDC and Motorhead, later the Sex Pistols, The Exploited, and the heavier stuff, like Slayer and Exodus. I also love some songs of the Lazys and Dead Dasies, a specific sound that triggers my happy hormones. But André Verhuizen from Dynamo OpenAir was a big inspiration for me to love music and meet my favorite bands in life.

What Are You Working On Now? Any Future Collaborations We Can Look Forward To?

I enjoy humor and comedy, so I have two future mega AI projects with the Boon Boys. One is a parody of Bruno Mars’ “The Lazy Song,” in which I produced a song called “Today I Only Feel Like Eating Bananas.” The video will be hilarious. Another project I have is mocking Frozen from Disney. My produced song is named “Chosen Here Is Will Mock the Woke and Disney Losing Billions with Stupidity!” But no worries, I’ve got two excellent new songs coming up, “Boonville” and “Boonville Rascals,” which will be raw again in the style of Jesus Spoke Rock and Faces. Similar voice and guitar riffs.

What Is Your Ultimate Goal In The Music Industry? What Is Your Plan Of Action?

I just love producing. On Wikipedia, you can see I promoted 300 Kickboxing and Cage Fight events. I eventually sold my library of content and my brands to a billionaire in 2012 and relocated to Thailand to live there permanently. My life story is quite remarkable, and I’m sure it won’t take long before you see a Netflix TV series about it. I have three Books out on Amazon, they are also translated into Japanese and will be available on the Japanese market at the beginning of May this year. The life story is about me and the crazy rise of the Full Contact Sports, my beeft with the UFC, Pride FC and K-1, I became the biggest Fight manager and promotor on earth, but with such money comes, crime, murder, extortion, kidnappings its like breaking bas vs the sopranos on steroids. Here is a blog with all the links to Amazon and the synopsis of the story: https://basboon.com/bloodsport-syndicate-mafia-mma-chronicles-are-now-available-on-amazon/

What Is Your Favorite Track To Perform Live and Why?

I am raising my Kids to play the numbers I wrote. They love music and have already been studying instruments, such as playing the guitar, singing, and drumming. Time will tell, but for now, they are the best kids rocking performers ever, haha! Through my AI hands, that is!

What Has Been The Biggest Challenge In Your Career Thus Far?

In 2012, K-1 went bankrupt. I had issues with Pride FC and UFS, and was a few million dollars in the red. I turned this into a multi-million-dollar, once-in-a-lifetime deal, but it took a lot from me. Three different major court cases on three different continents, with 500 /1000 $ AN HOUR lawyers, don’t ever go there! The second worst was a heart conditioning problem a year back. I had a severe apnea problem, and they wanted me to sleep with a CPAP. Of course, I said Norway, I would rather die, I almost did. But overcome, I am healthy, don’t smoke, never was a drinker, and I am producing olives every second of the day, and I am with my kids.

What’s Your Typical Songwriting Process?
I will pitch an idea with AI, but I don’t like the cliché ryming of the AI Machine; it gives me the creeps. I visualize where I want to go. Many times, I pitch an idea with just one word, look for the right riff, tone, and voice, and then not use the lyrics at all, but instead completely write everything myself. In one song,’ Breaking the Mold,’ I forgot to change it, and it still bugs me! I also love the songs’ Jesus Spoke Rock,’ ‘Faces,’ and ‘Bring It On. ‘ It’s not mocking; it’s more positive, but still provocative. The lyrics sound simple, but it’s what makes the song stand out —a unique sound with a provocative undertone. The Boon Boys become like Alfred Hitchcock and Tarantino, who can be seen for a few seconds in their productions! The idea of faces came from the graduation of my eldest son, Kato Boon. He could not sit still and was pulling Faces for two hours, check link:https://basboon.com/faces-music-video-my-ai-horrors/

How Has Social Media Influenced Your Career As An Artist?

I always find myself on the edge; I’m powerless to help myself. I’ve been banned from LinkedIn and Twitter and have received warnings here and there. I hate being a plant! However, I blog about those experiences in a humorous way, highlighting the obstacles and absurdity. For example,, face is Hilarious. Check out the blog about prompts and algorithm bias: https://basboon.com/faces-music-video-my-ai-horrors/

What Are Some Tracks and Artists Currently On Your Playlist?

Swing of the Axe of Power Trip, Black Crowds; Rats and Clowns, Rattle Them Bones and Nothing But troubles from The Lazys, Light Um Up from the Dead Daisies, Brain Dead, Lunatic Parade Exodus, Disciple, Raining Blood and Psychopathy Red from Slayer, No Way Out Bonecrusher, but I also visited concerts in London Hammersmith like Onslaught, Destruction, they are all on my playlist, Judas priest You Got Another Thing Coming, tons of Motorhead, Civil War Guns and Roses, Iron Maiden, ACDC its stays
I explained before I was a Fight promoter and TV producer, see other answer!

What Did You Do Before You Started Making Music?

I explained before that I was a Fight promoter and TV producer; see my other answer.

Any Advice For Young People (Men or Women) That Want To Succeed In The Music World?

Never let other people tell you that you can’t do something, or that it’s impossible. Grab those comments as fuel and get it done! The Japanese would say to me Bas Boon Sells Ice in the North Pole and sand in the desert, They are not far off! It’s a mindset; the ‘do’ aspect is the most important in life. Most people waste their lives scrolling through TikTok, making comments, or policing others who create content. Go out there, we can do everything!

What Would You Change In The Music Industry If You Were A Top Music Executive?

It’s hard to say, but when I was an executive in the Fight business, I changed the industry with more professionalism. I believe the markets are undergoing drastic changes. When you’re a great content music maker, there are now many ways to get your music directly to fans—no more CAA, Endeavor, or record labels. Making the industry better starts with you, go out there, be not afraid to fail, fail a thousand times like Einstein, and then get it right!

How Do You Feel About Originality?

I love that, and I think that with the three hyperactive ADHD Boon Boys, many lyrics come straight out of life scenes of the day; the recognition is huge. Many songs are suitable for both kids and parents, making the target group excellent.
