Melvin (Melsincere) was born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia and has spent much of his life in the DMV area. Starting off as a comedian and former boxer for Team Norfolk ILA Boxing, Melvin transitioned into music, where he found his true calling. His passion for music was sparked by the influences of Hilda Hopewell, James Hopewell, and Earl Elliott, who introduced him to rap and studio sessions early on.

Melsincere grew up in foster care, and now hes committed to being a light for others raised in the system or coming up from the streets. Hes dedicated to the world and his community when it comes to giving back, especially to at-risk youth who share a background similar to his.

A proud member of Nothing to Lose Entertainment and Mastermind, Melvin is known for his authenticity and raw energy, working alongside talents from the DMV and New Jersey. He formed a strong creative bond with Mastermind, and credits Daryl Hall (Skizzbanger) for his breakout track, “Practice.” He’s also opened for major names like Ron Browz, Will Traxx, and Omillio Sparks of State Property.

Mentored by MDot CEO, DJ Freestyle, Teena Cisco, Nottz Raw, and DMP, Melvin found a true home in hip-hop. His journey is deeply inspired by the likes of Jay-Z, DMX, and Allen Iverson, shaping his drive, resilience, and hunger for greatness.

Beyond the mic, Melvin is a community force—doing street team work for local DMV artists and mentoring youth in foster care, group homes, and juvenile detention centers. His music reflects the pain, suffering, and success hes experienced, capturing his journey both on stage and in the studio.

Currently, Melvin is building his career with Roc Nation distribution and is actively working toward securing Roc Nation management. Hes gaining traction coast-to-coast and preparing to release his next project and single. With videos for “Practice” and several trending songs in the works, he understands that success comes down to timing, hard work, and dedication.
