Timothy’s Bio

My musical life started at 9 playing a lap steel  , then progressed to a pedal steel at 14 . At this time I started playing live in the Family band consisting of dad- guitar and vocals and brother Roy – guitar  ( twin). Then moved on to some local band aged 18 .

Joined a touring band at 21 and toured the East coast of Australia for 3 months , before leaving and uniting with bro ,but we couldn’t find a bass player so I got nominated to play bass and singing . Then played Dobro with my brother in a bluegrass duo.

I’ve played a lot a music from playing to touring to recording but I Iove to be creative the most. Playing an acoustic and write with it and seeing what happens as I don’t plan a song or do one in a desired style , just my own.

Timothy Fry,

What Musical Genre Do You Feel Best Describes Your Music And How Would You Describe Your Sound?

Alternative Rock / Country / Pop

How Did You Get Your Name? Is There A Story?

No story it’s just my name

What Are or Have Been Your Musical Influences?

Anything that had a Pedal Steel Guitar in the 70’s,Poco was the main one, then really what ever I like. The Promises,

The Eagles, Doobie Brothers, Blondie. The list could go forever

What Are You Working On Now? Any Future Collaborations We Can Look Forward To?

Just about to track a new song in Nashville with my producer Jim Hyatt and sound engineer Kelly James

What Is Your Ultimate Goal In The Music Industry? What Is Your Plan Of Action?

Ultimately write songs that are worthy of a listen.

What Is Your Favorite Track To Perform Live and Why?

It has to be the song perfection which was produced by David Briggs ( Little River Band lead guitarist ). I can manipulate it an have fun! Now I’ll be greedy an the other is Supernova as it sounds cool.

What Has Been The Biggest Challenge In Your Career Thus Far?

The biggest is realizing who I am.

What’s Your Typical Songwriting Process?

I don’t have one, what ever sounds good I run with

How Has Social Media Influenced Your Career As An Artist?

It’s help to keep up with the trends

What Are Some Tracks and Artists Currently On Your Playlist?

Still old school music but occasionally the new tune surfaces that I like

What Did You Do Before You Started Making Music?

I’ve always made music in one form or another. I started sing at the age of six, and played a instrument at the age of 14 yrs old in pubs.

Any Advice For Young People (Men or Women) That Want To Succeed In The Music World?

Nothing worth wild is easy and then never gets easy

What Would You Change In The Music Industry If You Were A Top Music Executive?

I’d make a better platform to pay for works. We all live on money not likes.

How Do You Feel About Originality?

To me to be original is your legacy. So why sound like someone else.
