What Musical Genre Do You Feel Best Describes Your Music And How Would You Describe Your Sound?
alternative rock, raw sound, open space fulfilling harmonies
How Did You Get Your Name? Is There A Story?
This name came from Pink Floyd, the song called Matilda Mother. We noticed there is no band with this name. And this seems to be a proper name too. We wanted also to leave the possibility to take more members.
What Are or Have Been Your Musical Influences?
Coltrane, Pharoah Sanders, Duane Allman, Buddy Holly, Velvet Underground, Byrds, Anne Briggs, Donovan, etc.
What Are You Working On Now? Any Future Collaborations We Can Look Forward To?
We record everyday material for new LP s mostly. 700 NAPA-38 is out 3/2021, have to promote that too. Have copyrighted 140 new songs during the year 2020. Seeking a proper Label and producer to work with.
What Is Your Ultimate Goal In The Music Industry? What Is Your Plan Of Action?
To find a proper Label and producer to spread this music all over the world. Find new listeners.
What Is Your Favorite Track To Perform Live and Why?
We have recorded about 200 songs, not published them yet…we perform always some new song live, a song that we haven’t practiced together, it challenges us as a performer and it is fresh and we have to react to each other.
What Has Been The Biggest Challenge In Your Career Thus Far?
Find the right people, to find fans through massive music productions nowadays. Love to find people who are not a musician but also people doing something else
What’s Your Typical Songwriting Process?
Composer Tomi Christiansson creates some riffs with guitar or piano or in his head, then he variates harmony and bass lines and then we improvise the melody while he is playing. We have ready the lyrics, which we improve at the same time. We take 2-5 takes, add then other instruments if needed. Then we often leave that song for a moment.
How Has Social Media Influenced Your Career As An Artist?
Well, finding opportunities …finding fans….finding people who do good music
What Are Some Tracks and Artists Currently On Your Playlist?
Darren Holmes, Danger Line, a lot of artist from a different genre
What Did You Do Before You Started Making Music?
Tomi Christiansson has done music all his life, Ninel Grönholm has worked as a dance teacher for kids, as an MC a studied classical singing
Any Advice For Young People (Men or Women) That Want To Succeed In The Music World?
Learn to play by ears, play your instrument by records, the start maybe with Buddy Holly, it is not easy either with rhythms but he uses 3 chords in all his songs. Use a string instrument and tune it by ear. When you play with others don t play too much, learn how to leave space
What Would You Change In The Music Industry If You Were A Top Music Executive?
To avoid overproductions and lift more indie artists, singsong writers even. More preferring natural beat (then it almost always varies a little bit)
How Do You Feel About Originality?
Original recordings from songs, meaning songs performed by the writers are always better than covers, always.
Is There Anything Else We Should Know About You Or That You Would Like to Add?
Music should always have space. That s the hard part, but that makes it sound great.
