What Musical Genre Do You Feel Best Describes Your Music And How Would You Describe Your Sound?
I guess the best description of the type of music I make could be called Outlaw Country/Southern Rock but it for me it’s really important to keep it authentic.
How Did You Get Your Name? Is There A Story?
After years and years of playing in bands I finally realized if I wanted to move forward I needed to take control of my career ,hence The Chris Andres band! I found democracy’s don’t always work so well in bands, it’s a lot more work but it’s so much more satisfying.
What Are or Have Been Your Musical Influences?
My musical influences are vast but my favorite artists to listen to are Townes Van Zandt,Guy Clark,Willie Nelson,The Beatles,Waylon Jennings,Steve Earle and last but not least The Allman Brothers.
What Are You Working On Now? Any Future Collaborations We Can Look Forward To?
With the whole covid thing shutting down touring my band and I just hunkered down and recorded our sixth studio album!
What Is Your Ultimate Goal In The Music Industry? What Is Your Plan Of Action?
My ultimate goal is to get back to touring and getting my music out there, I believe the next couple of years are going to see an exponential growth in the music industry and I plan on being part of it!
What Is Your Favorite Track To Perform Live and Why?
My favorite song to perform live tends to be the latest song I’ve written, but currently I have a song called Unkown Stomp that’s got a great vibe and it really gets your feet moving!
What Has Been The Biggest Challenge In Your Career Thus Far?
I’ve been doing this for many years and the biggest challenge for me is keeping up with a constantly changing musical landscape!
What’s Your Typical Songwriting Process?
When I’m sitting down to work on a new song it’s just me and my acoustic, I usually just mess around with chord patterns until I find something I like and then go from there.
How Has Social Media Influenced Your Career As An Artist?
Social media has opened up a whole new world for independent artists myself included! There’s so many avenues for artists to explore, it’s really an amazing time.
What Are Some Tracks and Artists Currently On Your Playlist?
I try to support Indie’s on my playlist but I also like to shine a light on up and coming artists as well.
What Did You Do Before You Started Making Music?
I’ve been a lifelong musician, I started playing touring professionally in my teens and have been at ever since.
Any Advice For Young People (Men or Women) That Want To Succeed In The Music World?
Any advice I’d give to anyone wanting to get into the music business is to make sure you have thick skin, rejection must be looked at as an opportunity to learn and always trust your instinct.
What Would You Change In The Music Industry If You Were A Top Music Executive?
One change I’d like to see in the music industry is artists making more money off of streaming services, that would be a game changer!
How Do You Feel About Originality?

Originality is the most important aspect of a sustained musical career, it’s okay to have influences but authenticity and originality will win you more listeners in the long run! If was easy everyone would do it!
Is There Anything Else We Should Know About You Or That You Would Like to Add?
I’d just like to give a shout out to all my musical family that have been affected by this pandemic but when this passes I believe we’ll will enter a musical renaissance and that’s great for us all!
