How Did You Get Your Name? Is There A Story?
Matik was my nickname growing up from other artists that I collaborated with… Then I started learning about the study of cymatics & visual sound vibrations so I took it a step further & fully transformed into CyMatik… Everybody that really knows me will tell U that I have a unique & undeniable vibe about me that fits the aura of CyMatik & allows me to change into any sound frequency or waveform… Basically sound holds life together & that’s what I like to consider my music provides for the world
What Are or Have Been Your Musical Influences?
There hasn’t been just one artist or genre of music that has influenced me… I have been influenced by an extremely wide range of music & artists from around the world… I choose to focus & create Hip-Hop music because I feel that it has no boundaries & allows me the freedom to say the most with least amount of space occupied
What Are You Working On Now? Any Future Collaborations We Can Look Forward To?
I am always working & collaborating with other artists who help challenge me to step up my creative process… Although currently my main focus is my solo material which I am aiming to record 52 singles scheduled for release in 2022… I plan to release one song every week for the entire year

My ultimate goal is to keep challenging myself to get better as an artist every day & carve out a pathway that will enable me to provide a stable income for my family allow me to travel the world at the same time

I really don’t have a favorite song to perform… My sound set always changes depending on the event & location that I am performing at
What Has Been The Biggest Challenge In Your Career Thus Far?
I would say the biggest challenge thus far is creating the right exposure to gain the proper momentum to reach the masses… I am not a big social media guy & I am not the type to tell U my every move through social media posts… I would rather let my music speak for me

The need for constant social media posts… I do feel that social media is a great tool but it also has gotten out of hand… I feel like if U need to know everything I do at all times of the day then why do you need to buy or even listen to my music?

Originality is everything… Why would I want to copy any artist? If everybody is the same then why do we need to hear from different artists??
