Fast Fairlanes sound best fits the genre of country-rock.
How Did You Get Your Name? Is There A Story?
The name was actually put to an extensive vote manned by our bassist, Jason Haxton, after tossing out a few options. We settled on Fast Fairlane because we felt it embodied what we were ultimately feeling about our sound and our lead singer, Rose Perona’s, love of classic cars, her favorite being the Ford Fairlane.
What Are or Have Been Your Musical Influences?
Our influences vary from rock and roll like Van Halen and current country stars including Kieth Urban, Miranda Lambert, and Carrie Underwood to more vintage country and rock.
What Are You Working On Now? Any Future Collaborations We Can Look Forward To?
As a band, there’s always work to be done. It’s been difficult to manage creativity with the current situation but we have found a way. Our current song was recorded nearly all socially distant. We’ll be putting out another song shortly! Keep your ears open.
What Is Your Ultimate Goal In The Music Industry? What Is Your Plan Of Action?
Ultimate goal? Why fame of course! The guys have actually been really close with previous endeavors and we hope we’ve finally got all the right people now.

It’s a night-by-night thing. Whichever songs connect best with the audience… the ones that fire them up and get them dancing. Those are the favorites.
What Has Been The Biggest Challenge In Your Career Thus Far?
Sticking with it. Trying new ideas. Looking for new creative outlets. Of course, if we didn’t do all that, we’d probably be insane by now!

Dirk has been the primary driver of new songs. He brings his well-polished concepts to the band, where they receive a good dose of our collective personality on their way to becoming Fast Fairlane songs.

During this pandemic, Social Media is played a vital role in allowing us to stay connected and interact with our fans. It has helped keep our dreams alive and our motivation high.
What Did You Do Before You Started Making Music?
We all have our different careers.
Our drummer, Harry Baumgardner is a contractor. Lead guitar Dirk Van Stralen is a teacher.
Jason is always working! Day job – Project Manager for the Western Area Power Authority, helping to keep the lights on for millions of Americans
Evening job – Sole Proprietor of Jason Haxton Productions, focusing during the pandemic primarily on CD and Streaming Audio Mastering
Night job – Bassist for Fast Fairlane
Rose, our singer, took early retirement but prior to she was a waitress and bartender.
How Do You Feel About Originality?
Gotta be original but there is something to be said about giving tribute to the sounds that brought us here, and we will likely continue to walk that line.
