Bio
I am a singer-songwriter that comes from a musical family and grew up on the Northside of Chicago, IL. I started off writing poetry at a young age and then put that with the melodies in my head to create songs. I was always fascinated by the cinematic music of movie scores of the films viewed in my childhood. My father introduced me to guitar at a young age and I had studied guitar at the Old Town School of Folk Music and later classical guitar at Loyola University Chicago. In high school, I was active in music in several clubs such as being the head of the guitar club and taught fellow students. There, I had the opportunity to perform at House of Blues Chicago along with my peers and participated in talent functions at the Neighborhood Boys and Girls Club and other community functions. In my senior year, I received the Artist/Scholar award along with other scholarships. I have studied piano with my Grandfather for several years, have sung in multiple school/church choirs, have written songs, melodies, and lyrics since 9 years old, and have been in several bands/projects spanning many genres. As a singer-songwriter, I lean mainly towards Rock, Pop, and Folk genres. I am continuously working with local musicians and studio engineers to add to my repertoire of recordings from the catalog of songs I have written throughout the years; all while balancing family, career, and higher learning studies. I am an ASCAP member who is always looking for collaboration and growth within the music industry.
My mission is to create and share Power-Driven Inspiring Rock Folk Pop. My audience is typically young to middle-aged adults but could expand to resonate with others as well. My listeners are those who like to hear the stories and messages that I portray in my music which are variations of the themes of rising above life’s challenges, uplifting oneself, love, hope, inspiration, and meaning.
