Bio

My name is Tjay Robert Knutson. I am 32 years old. From a small town in Saskatchewan called Estevan, but, I have huge goals to be a song writer and performer and to show my beautiful children the proper way to enjoy life, for it is short and there is no time to waste. And I want to inspire people to do greatness because there’s not enough good in the world. I never knew what I was doing when I was growing up. Part of my life was dark but I found a Passion for music and it has changed me for the better. I write music with deep emotion and with all my heart because I know a lot of people can relate to what I like to sing about. I know music helped me through my dark days, so, I know it will help somebody else. I don’t care about money or fame, I just want my music to be heard by everyone and I hope it helps someone else get over obstacles that they may encounter throughout their life. After my brothers death, it made me want to write music even more. I’m so happy that I have the opportunity to show people the passion and love I have for hip-hop. Sending my love from Canada yours truly (real g.)

Tjayknutson,

What Musical Genre Do You Feel Best Describes Your Music And How Would You Describe Your Sound? I Believe rap is the Genre That most describes my style of music because I’m not so much focused on making my image look Like I’m having the time of my life or I have a lot of money and bling like lots of rappers have on there videos and there lyrics I want my music to be remember for 20 years from now not Forgot about soon as the next flashy video comes out So long story short I would rather someone hear my music in 20 years and be able to sing along then to be trying to find out what that song is called you forgot about 10 years ago I try to write my music with meaning that people can relate to so you can sing it in 20 years

How Did You Get Your Name? Is There A Story?
Well it was me and my wife that came up with the name I didn’t have much support for my friends or family when I 1st started so I didn’t have anybody help think of the name but it I am a real person what is on my mind I will speak and I will never try to be somebody else so real is somebody that’s not fake and want people to remember me so I will never be fake

What Are or Have Been Your Musical Influences?
What’s a great question Well tupac biggie easy e The O g’s Of pioneering the style of rap. RIP . Were big parts of me wanting to be a rapper But everybody dreams about being a rapper if you like that kind of music The style I am going for I got inspired by jelly roll his songs have meaning and I can sing his songs word-for-word and I know I’ll still be able to sing his songs in 20 years His songs help me through dark days after my brother passed I will always remember those lyrics and they will always help me So I want to be like that so people remember me and I help people

What Are You Working On Now? Any Future Collaborations We Can Look Forward To? I’m always working on music it’s all I think about as soon as I wake up until I go to bed it’s kind of annoying sometimes I have multiple songs that are done I just need to record And I’m working on more right now .But you need to practice if you want to become great at something And having this opportunity inspires me to write harder and more so yes I will have more music coming out I haven’t heard anything about any collaborations but anything can happen and I’m a strong believer at that as long as you work hard for what you want You will succeed When I 1st started writing music lots of people that I know laughed at me and said I couldn’t do it but you can’t listen to anybody because you choose your own path in life so if there’s people telling you you can’t do it and shouldn’t inspire you to do it harder so you can prove those people wrong

What Is Your Ultimate Goal In The Music Industry? What Is Your Plan Of Action? I’ve had dark days in my life when I had no idea what I was doing or where I was going when I discovered my talent for music and writ helped me so much find who I was And there’s musicians out there when they sing their lyrics you could feel the emotions so I would like to be like that I would like to help people through dark days from the lyrics I write because I believe that they are Is relatible to a lot of people If I was to help only one person with the lyrics that I write get through their dark days then I will have succeeded at my mission So my plan is to work on music and release as much as I can so I could find my followers again I’m so excited for this opportunity and I thank you very much that was also a very great question

What Is Your Favorite Track To Perform Live and Why?
I’ve never performed on a big scale I would really want to it’s my dream the one I would want to perform would be trauma because that song is Relatible to a lot of people and the emotion I feel from that song is Something that is unexplainable when I was done writing that song it felt like the Wait of the world was lifted off my shoulders
What Has Been The Biggest Challenge In Your Career Thus Far? Getting exposed has been my biggest challenge And like I was saying where I’m from there’s not much support it’s just a different kind of lifestyle But I never wanted to be like that I have faith And I have tons of motivation so even though I’m from a small town and saskatchewan I have big plans And I will never stop so the opportunity that is offered to me from You guys is a dream come true

What’s Your Typical Songwriting Process? Well I listen to beats all day and I scan through all day and when I find a beat The lyrics just start coming to me sometimes it takes me one night to write a song and sometimes it takes me a year It’s gotten to the point where I could write multiple songs At the same time The one thing I wish is I found my Passion for writing music when I was younger so who’s ever reading this if you have dreams work on your dreams Don’t let anybody negative tell you that you can’t do what you want to do cause you soon As you let someone in your mind like that you’re setting yourself up a failure

How Has Social Media Influenced Your Career As An Artist?
I’ve had trouble getting exposed on social media there’s so much stuff out there nowadays To see on social media so I’m hoping this will help me Be exposed through social media And if it It helps Me be exposed I will always do Good for my follow man or woman because I’m real G And I will always stay real to my fans

What Are Some Tracks and Artists Currently On Your Playlist? Some of my tracks are called trauma, Problems. The Devils calling, Forgive but never forget, Are just some of my tracks they all have Different meaning and stories

What Did You Do Before You Started Making Music?
I actually still work construction action I have lots of mouths to feed I wish I had more time to work on my music and that is the main reason why I’m not more active on social media because my days are so busy but I still am able to find a couple hours a night to write my music

Any Advice For Young People (Men or Women) That Want To Succeed In The Music World?
That’s one thing I wish I had was some good advice to whoever wants to listen would be never give up Don’t let anybody tell you you can’t do what you wanna do because as soon as you let someone in your mind like that and you’re sent yourself up a failure so if you have dreams work on your dreams if you fail at 1st don’t give up keep going you’ll get over the obstacles that you need to You should use people’s negutility and The Times that you fail your mission to make you work harder on it The hardest thing about literally anything in life is challenging yourself to do better So don’t listen if somebody is telling you you can’t because you are nothing can change that

What Would You Change In The Music Industry If You Were A Top Music Executive? I don’t think you could change the music industry because there is so many different styles An originality it would be impossible to take that out of The industry what I would do is try to send a different message Instead of making 20 people notice me I would notice the person that needs to be noticed And that’s what makes memories and that’s what makes people remember you
The world needs more Compassion cause all you see in rap videos nowadays is nice cars lots of money lots of jewelry and drugs and alcohol and I believe there’s too much of that in the world so if I was able to teach a generation to look out for your fellow man instead of Surpass your fellow man then I feel like I would accomplish my mission

How Do You Feel About Originality?
I think originality is key to your personality and who you are because if you pretending to be something you’re not that makes you fake So you should never pretend you’re something you’re not and I believe being yourself is the best way through life So originality is everything it’s who you are Cause you can’t become something you’re not so why try

Is There Anything Else We Should Know About You Or That You Would Like to Add? I would like to say thank you for this opportunity and I hope to see everybody’s comments on my music go to bad because Being criticized It’s good in a way because it’ll make you work harder so always work on your dream Don’t be afraid to be different than the rest of the people because you are you and that’s a message that I would like to spread Thanks for the good questions
